"Fish O'Toole's Fussy and The Poetry Contest" is one of a series of stories that take place at Professor Preps' Academy. The academy is located in the rolling hills just outside of Big Town, USA. It was founded by Abraham Preps and his lovely wife Yvonne. Both Professor Preps and his wife were teachers. Their dream was to create an enchanting school where children could play freely and have fun adventures while learning. The reader will soon discover that Professor Preps' Academy is a magical place where the children learn many valuable life lessons while building friendships and forming memories that will last a lifetime. Fussy has a secret talent that only his grandmother and one close friend, Yebbie T. know. This story is about his struggle to find acceptance among his peers by fitting in with the group. The struggle is real for so many children who sometimes hide their special talents and abilities just to fit into a group. This book is entertaining but can be used as a teaching tool to help children who are struggling with peer pressure and who are fearful of expressing their own individuality.
