A Fascinating Personal Account of the life of an ALL-AMERICAN - First Round Draft Pick - GREEN BAY PACKER. The Packers' number one draft choice in 1958, Dan Currie was a steady performer at outside linebacker for seven seasons in Green Bay. The former Michigan State Spartan Star, nicknamed "Dapper Dan," intercepted 11 passes, recovered six fumbles and returned an interception for a touchdown during his Packer career. The 6'3", 240-pound Currie played on the 1961 and '62 NFL championship teams and was All-Pro after each of those seasons. He was a member of the Packers from 1958-'64. He is enshrined in the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 1984. (Courtesy of the GB Packers Hall of Fame.)
