From the author's regret at not telling his first crush how he felt way back in third grade comes this poetic inspiration, preaching monogamy, ancient wisdom and that the first love is and should be forever! (If we only can conjure the courage to be true and admit the love we feel). For Bill Watkins, the courage would have to come from God, the name he calls his Higher Power--the entity that allowed him to recover from suicidal depression and alcoholism to hopefully inspire children and adults to live well and true!!
