Michael T Tracy
George Ballingall, the eldest son of his father's third wife received the tenancy of the ancestral farm of Rameldry, Kettle Parish, Fife, upon the death of his father, George Ballingall in 1793 after his tenancy of 58 years. George would farm these lands of Rameldry for the next 34 years. He also was the proprietor of Ballenkirk, a small farm located in Kennoway Parish, Fife. George Ballingall married his distant cousin on the Buist side of the family, Grizal (Grace) Dun in Kettle Parish and subsequently had five children who were all born at Rameldry. This then is the narrative of the life and times of George Ballingall, the tenant farmer of Rameldry.
