Growing up in a standard denominational church, I only heard the name Holy Spirit at water baptism. I rarely heard His name mentioned outside baptism lest they glossed over it while reading the Scriptures. I spent countless years as a born-again believer and never knew how Holy Spirit indwelled. There is a vast difference between being a born-again believer on the way to Heaven and being a born-again believer on the way to Heaven with the grand bonus of understanding the fullness of Christ living inside. If you have accepted Christ as Savior, you can learn how to accept Him as Lord by getting to know Holy Spirit and allowing Him lordship over your very being. By allowing Holy Spirit full access to your mortal body, there is a far greater ease in the 'doing' of the Word because Holy Spirit is exacting the doing. Holy Spirit is the deposit or the "down payment" of God before He returns for His Bride. He is the One who is in you to activate and enable the power and authority of God so as to operate in spiritual gifts; to pull down negative thoughts the enemy throws at you; to live a life of love and forgiveness that otherwise is outside human capability. Holy Spirit is the One within which allows us to access supernatural ability so as to discern lies from truth and the wicked from the righteous; to allow one to transition from chaos and fear to supernatural peace, faith and joy.
