The Great Ascension Peter Von Harten
The Great Ascension
Peter Von Harten
A series of poems derived from the author's life experiences and heavily inspired in part by Arthur Rimbaud's "A Season In Hell", The Great Ascension is the product of a personal spiritual journey of one soul struggling to understand itself in relation to the rest of the world. Through the exploration of themes such as beauty, religion, science, sexuality, time, conquest, youth, Old World values, morality, and government corruption, the author set out on a journey of deep reflection and self-discovery in order to save what was left of his soul after experiencing much heartache and wickedness in his search for love. For we have only to grow from the wreckage of our dark past, and--through compassion and wisdom--to ultimately ascend.
