An archaeologist on the faculty of Georgetown University, Judith McManus, uncovers a parchment scroll in Syria that contains a letter from Justinian, a sixth century Byzantine emperor. Justinian claims to have received a revelation from God that the Book of Revelation is a forgery from Satan, and he has been given by God a true prophecy of the future coming of the Antichrist, to begin in the middle of the twentieth century. While researching Justinian's prophecy, Professor McManus befriends Amanda Cooper, a young political reporter who has recently relocated to Washington DC to cover the 2028 presidential campaign of high-tech billionaire Fritz Keller. As the 2028 presidential race unfolds, Amanda Cooper uncovers chilling evidence that Keller may be possessed by the demonic spirit of Adolf Hitler. Through a deadly twist of bizarre events involving the Third Reich, Russian secret agents and an Internet-focused presidential campaign based on extreme racism and Anti-Semitism, an initially skeptical Amanda Cooper is confronted with terrifying proof that the prophecy of Justinian accurately foretold the rise of Hitler, and his return in the guise of a man on the verge of being elected the next President of the United States, to fulfill the final mission on Earth of the Antichrist.
