With breathtaking speed the opaque Tulian bores his way into the colorful circle of friends around the attorney Lea. All of Lea's friends are, in one way or another and to varying degrees, engaged in debauchery; polygamy, cannabis, and taking pleasure in pain are among those excesses, as is experimenting with female pleasure hormones. No one knows Tulian's profession, which makes his insistent efforts to inject his new acquaintances with guilt feelings that much more bewildering. Why does Tulian do it? Can it end well?
