In 1972, all humans across planet Earth suddenly lost the ability to reproduce. As the extinction of our species loomed heavy on our people, an ally arrived from another planet: the Space Ivy. These secretive refugees from a broken world brought with their pleas for help a solution: the Bonded. With a Bonded in every bedroom, and the Space Ivy contentedly situated in out-of-the-way compounds, the world seems well on it's way to peacefuly accepting their new guests. But appearances and actions are two different things. As the Space Ivy move further and faster into human society, a few begin to notice what the Space Ivy wish they wouldn't. Some are disappearing, some become 'indisposed', and some choose to look the other way. A few choose to flee society, and when they find an abandoned Space Ivy city, the danger becomes clearer than ever.
