This is an American tale about life in Pennsylvania's Wyoming Valley after World War II. For Jim Ranelli the Korean War is another failure in a life full of second place finishes. He returns home to find solace coaching an American Legion baseball team. It's a story about a war veteran whose passion for coaching almost destroys his marriage, the woman standing beside him, how it feels to put everything into something and fail.
