After a valuable French painting and a fabulous jewel are stolen from the Plaza Hotel, an intercontinental chase ensues. Along the way, there is a corpse of a suspected thief is discovered in Argentina. With the help of the Israei secret security force, a cache of Nazi stolen art is discovered and seized, along with a Nazi that was a guard at Trblinka. The load is brought to the Metropolitan Museum, where the treasures are eventually returned to the rightful owners. But, the painting stolen from the hotel is not among the rescued art. A complex plan is developed involving an art forger, a Chinese-American and Israel's forces to retrieve the painting. All ends well, and the two principles end up getting married in a Jewish/Buddhist wedding.
