The book is roughly based on fact with characters and situations having really existed. The particular stories and incidents though are all fiction and were written purely for pleasure. Please accept them as such. The time frame is the end of the Civil War through the turn of the new century. It revolves around the lives of people on the near frontier in an area that during that period of time was becoming more settled. The characters are people that are hardened from life's experiences yet still appreciate what they have and their hope reigns supreme. They finish a war in Virginia and migrate to a new place in the green hills of North Missouri. There to continue life yet stay true to there southern roots and pursue an agrarian life style. Starting with nothing they bring their morals and work ethic with them to deal with life's issues. Soured by war they put their past behind them and forge ahead with undaunted faith. Follow the adventures of their fight for independence, a defeat and a rebirth. Travel with them cross country in a wagon train to a promised land based only on faith. See their response to the same problems they left behind with just different players.
