The Tragic Life of Little Rose Joyce Nunn Shumate
The Tragic Life of Little Rose
Joyce Nunn Shumate
This book is about the daughter of a famous Confederate spy, who in time became the youngest spy on record during the War Between the States. This book is not about espionage and heroic endeavors, although some of this is included, but it's about the life of a little girl and how the War Between the States affected her life. This book will attempt to unlock the life of that little spy, who was the youngest daughter of Rose O'Neal Greenhow, who was called "Little Rose." It's about the life of Little Rose, not her famous mother, but they are so entwined that it is difficult to separate them at times. Little Rose's life was tragic, from beginning to end and she saw things and experienced things than no child should ever have to endure.
