Megan, a young ninth-grade student, faces racism daily at the hands of her classmate, Curtis Thomas. He bullies her because she's mixed. She is targeted daily by many bullies, including Latoya Gamble. Latoya doesn't like Megan because she holds the interest of her ex-boy friend, Corporal Maxwell.
