George and Ellie are just two happy sisters enjoying the freedom of the summer holidays. Then, one day, they receive a visit from the Scarlet Darter and follow his secret trail into the woods. There, they are asked to help a faery attain his dream of becoming an angel again. In return he will help rebuild their relationship with their father, lost to the world of business and driven by a desire for money. It is a trail that leads to darkness and the girls find that they are suddenly thrown into a battle against demons and angels, not just to save the world, but to save the faery realm.
