With Chains Unbroken, is the story of a rebellious Italian New Jersey girl with an irreverent sense of humor, attempting to break free of her self-destructive romantic obsession with G, and to pull her tormented and empty life together. Amidst a backdrop of the Gay Movement's tragedies and triumphs of the late 70s and early 80s, her own personal circumstances get worse before they get better, until she falls head-over-heels in love again, not with a person, but a place-a magical kingdom in the clouds that embraces her unconditionally and sets her on a path of healing and change.
