This is the second of two books written by the author with the same title - Shermalin's Book of Stories. This second book is Part Two. The book consists of two stories namely, The Envelope and America Has St. Lucia's Treasure. The Envelope This is a story about a young school boy named Chris. One day, he and a fellow classmate named Danielle arrived at school late. However, they were just in time to see the principal Mrs. Rock hand their class teacher Mr. King, an envelope. Chris and Danielle were indeed very curious to know what was inside the envelope. All they could do was discuss and speculate among themselves the contents of the envelope. They were indeed very worried and even went as far as searching for the envelope in the teacher's classroom and were almost caught. Eventually, the teacher revealed the contents of the envelope to the entire class much to the relief of Chris and Danielle. They now had to work to win the contents of the envelope. America Has St. Lucia's Treasure Teddy and Alice are two American siblings. They are on a vacation in St. Lucia, a beautiful island in the Caribbean. While on a boat ride on the lovely island, they heard from the boat's captain the story of a buried treasure under the sea. They were determined to retrieve the buried treasure. They sailed to the spot and after two attempts retrieved the treasure. To their great dismay, the boat captain who told them the story of the buried treasure was watching and waiting to steal the treasure from them. The struggle which ensued between the siblings and the captain ended with the drowning death of the captain and the treasure transported to America.
