Over five years ago, God directed author Jerry Gano to pen daily posts on social media. Over a thousand posts later, Gano's bite-sized Biblically inspired observations are collected in one place as Briefcase Wisdom for a Backpack Culture.

For each day of the year, Gano has constructed a short, relatable devotional, accompanied by a corresponding Bible verse. He intends to enlighten the curious reader with scripture and his own observations based on years of study and prayer, in turn bringing them closer to Christ.

Gano has experienced trials, heartache, sickness, and pain. The enemy of his soul has attacked heartily, but he is sure of one thing: if God goes before him, who can stand against him? We are nothing, in and of ourselves, but with God leading and directing our paths, everything will turn out okay.
