It was a year and a half before Cain returned.




Things had changed. I had a life and a family again, friends that I cared about. I didn't want to give that up for some fate I hadn't chosen...but I wanted to protect them.




Cain taught me to use my Power. I didn't like it. I didn't like the work. I didn't like the secrets. Cain was acting weird, and I hated being kept in the dark.




But there is more at stake than I thought. There are still the Avadis...and I didn't know how dark the world could get.
