It contains interviews with major recording stars including the Rolling Stones, Sting, Billy Joel, Eagles, Steven Tyler, Brian Wilson, Jimmy Page, Elton John, David Bowie and others who were witness to history. A Walk Down Abbey Road also contains interviews with the four Beatles.

It is not designed to go head-to-head with any of the Beatles biographies or critiques, but to provide a multifaceted set of viewpoints. Over the years the author has worked with the individual members as well as Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon and Julian Lennon. His Beatles experience is firsthand.
