Former Texas Ranger Clay Maxwell wanted nothing more than to be left alone to live his life in Del Rio, Texas. How they storm the bandit's stronghold and try to recover the precious horse is this tale. The group was made up of a killer for hire, Jess Howard, who made a promise to kill Maxwell if they ever met again; a train robber and gambler, Logan Smith; an ex-convict and horse thief Tuck Foster whom Maxwell help put in prison, plus a young Mexican, Armando Sequra, who was very good with a knife. These men, along with Lord Bristol's foreman, Tom Kelso, were the only men who'd agree to go into hell to get back the animal.
