A run in with the legendary wizard Ogana leaves Cori with one more strike off her "minor inconvenience" debt, but her narrow escape from the den isn't the escape that she was hoping for. While Danato struggles to keep himself and his crew alive inside of the time bubble that has swallowed the prison, Cori and Efrat work to free them from the outside. Her conflicting feelings for her former adversary makes working together as difficult as ever. Cori finds herself in a position of authority she is unfamiliar with and possibly not prepared for. However, when a member of the board arrives uninvited her loyalty to her family is the only motivation she needs to flout Renee's authority and her corporate military backup. I mishap during a routine transmorph capture, puts Daniel and his team in a difficult position. Before they can decide how to deal with Daniel's recklessness they are sent on a not-so-routine mission to China. Daniel calls in a favor from Callin and Gypsy to help him collect a young girl reputed to be a potential sorceress. Emotions are on high as their proximity to the girl's comatose body becomes almost assaulting. For Gypsy, however, it is business as usual, much to Callin's dismay since he was hoping that her heart was not nearly as stone as she claimed. Gypsy's immunity leaves her tasked with delivering the sorceress to Danato, but as her helicopter reaches the prison a massive explosion signals that there is bigger things to worry about than her magical cargo.
