THE GOD IN US KNOWS: Our world, its current mores and ethics, its reigning social, economic, and political conventions, even the ways we "live" represent, one of the most unnatural and dysfunctional systems ever devised. It is a system so far removed from the truth, the natural world, and living, that it is more representative of a monstrous illusion. We have become, as Jiddu Krishnamurti affirmed, "well adjusted to a profoundly sick society." In truth, every single one of us knows this or, at least, the God in Us Knows. The God in Us Knows is a collection of essays that speak to this system; how it affects our lives, loves, livelihoods; and our health (mental, physical, spiritual). Further, it raises and answers a rather provocative question--has Ayn Rand won? Has the author of Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead set the path for the current world's ethos via her narcissistic, philosophical beliefs?
