My name is Laurel Ross. I grew up in San Diego on a surfboard: dreaming of love, singing at the top of my voice and wanting to make a difference. I wanted to be a teacher. By 25, I was busy teaching high school English, winning awards and being successful; I loved my work, my students and my life, but still, I wanted more! As the years passed, I earned a PhD, built a career at Microsoft and made more money, but my yearning persisted. Then, I was reminded of the power of love. My mother became sick and died suddenly. In the final days of her life, I realized that love is the reason we are here. This realization confirmed everything I had always suspected was true about life. I met my soul mate, Dan, created my own company, Our Imagined Life, and began working to bring more love into the world. I asked myself a question: how do I awaken, inspire and encourage authentic, loving presence in the world? This is my life's question. This is my life's work.
