Like Dad Use to Say Joyce Robertson

More than twenty years ago, I began jotting down notes of little sayings my father used to teach us lessons when we were growing up. In the beginning, I wrote them down as I remembered them, usually when I was faced with one of life's challenges. I would recall one of dad's sayings and use it to help me make a decision or just get through a tough situation. Relying on dad's sayings usually guided me in the right direction. Over the next few years, I had compiled many of his sayings and began keeping them in a notebook. I developed a desire to write a book of these sayings, in memory of my father, who was a big inspiration in my life. I felt that others might find these pearls of my father's wisdom helpful or, at the very least, entertaining.
