Finding it hard to stand up to his father's incessant abuse, Lunga absconds from home, leaving his mother with the overly traditional and abusive father. While on the run, Lunga got hooked into a life of gangsterism and drugs. Through his new lifestyle, he learned to overcome adversity despite not having a good education. His departure from home subsequently left a dark cloud hanging around his home. A lot of unpleasant occurrences threatened his parents' marriage. Later when he eventually came back home, tragedy struck, leading to his father's arrest and incarceration. The once happy family slowly falls apart but in the end, unity prevails.
