Billy B: the King Locked in a Tree (Volume 1) S. E. Mckenzie 1st edition

Billy B runs out of the house upset that his parents will not let him have a new dog after his old dog, Barker, is run over by a car. As Billy B runs down the street and into the nearby forest, he trips over a large root which suddenly appears in his path. And as Billy B lies on the ground, a flash of bright light appears from nowhere and surrounds Billy B?s body with a warm glow. The light is so bright Billy B has to cover his eyes. As soon as Billy B finds the strength to pick himself up, he is back on his feet again. He tries to remember the way back home. The forest looks very different than it did before Billy B fell. The trees seem larger, their leaves seem greener and the sky seems bluer. The purple tint in the sky which Billy B has never noticed before makes him wonder if he is still living beneath the same sky. As Billy B tries to make sense of the new world he finds himself in, he bumps into a very sad wizard. The wizard tells Billy B that King John has banished him from the kingdom until he produces at least one fleet of dragons, which King John wants to use to fortify his army in his quest to dominate this strange world. Soon Billy B realizes that he cannot be in his own world where his friends and family are living and in this new kingdom at the same time. Before Billy B can return to his home, he must help the wizard, Claude, gain confidence in his ability to perform his magic so that he can find and free King Ron, who is the rightful heir to the kingdom's throne.
