Our paths are seldom straightforward, life always throws its storms at us. How we all weather those storms varies. Some of us will struggle with the slightest little worry, whereas others are able to show far greater resilience. What is it that makes some of us more resilient than others? I am sure that psychologists will have several long-winded explanations to answer this question, but I believe that we can increase our resilience by building our lives on a foundation of truth. The truth that I am referring to here is more than living honestly, with integrity and never telling a lie. I am referring to building our lives on a foundation of "truth" which is The Word of God. How many of us have truly done that? How many of us have a firm foundation which is like rock?
