K'tum the Magic Fish
Jeruto Chepkwony
In the land of the Marakwet, a young adventurous fish called K'tum sneaked and trailed unknown to his parents as they went to the Market fifteen miles away. He did this because his older sister had fascinated him with Market stories. But the journey to fascination was not easy. On the way it became adventurous and had to change into different shapes and forms to escape. First he became a dry fish, then a tortoise, then a deadly snake, then a bird and cat before finally returning successfully home unnoticed. K'tum's story is a fascination of human behaviour.
