Thirteen-year-old Lauren Silva is plunged into her second adventure when she dreams her ancestors' flight to Earth over twenty thousand years ago. But her old enemy will try to use her dream memories of the past and force her to take him back in time to regain his lost immortality... In more detail: Thousands of years ago on a distant planet a young boy dreams of becoming one of the elite "Goldenwing riders". He and his father risk their lives in a search for a wild Goldenwing egg, their only chance to escape poverty. The bird brings Rik his first friends, but their world is about to be torn apart by vicious invaders. In their peaceful cottage on the Isle of Wight, thirteen-year-old Lauren Silva and her family have no idea that they are about to become a part of that struggle. But when she and her friends spend a night camping in the magical "Grove" her dream of her ancestors' terrible fate is very real. But when he finds out, their old enemy will try to use Lauren's knowledge of their past to bring the monsters to present-day Earth, revenge himself on her family, and regain the powers he lost when Lauren and her family defeated him the year before. Lauren will have to travel time and space to help her ancestors flee their planet before they are discovered by the terrifying creatures or starve to death, and to save her family and perhaps the whole of Earth from the ancient menace.
