This book continues where "Elementary North Indian Vocal: Vol1" left off. This book goes into some detail as to the melodic accompaniment of North Indian Vocal, with a discussion of harmonium, tanpura, surmandal, sarangi, esraj, dilruba, taus, and tar shehnai. There are beginner's compositions in a variety of new rags that were not discussed in the first volume. There is a discussion of the process known as murcchana. There are also links to online supplemental audio material.
