A Winchester or Colt made brave men even more courageous. When conflicts erupted into gunfights, there was usually a fascinating story to tell. Gunfighters of the Old West II features such noted individuals as Doc Holliday, Cole Younger, Thomas "Black Jack" Ketchum, "Mysterious Dave" Mather, Jim Courtright and John Wesley Hardin. Much of the action is precipitated by those with lesser reputations. Bank vaults, stagecoach lock boxes and Wells Fargo safes were frequently easy prey for outlaw gangs. Their members sometimes spent much of their short lives fleeing from the law. Killing was often an act of survival. To a few it was a way of life.
