Hugh Whitemore
Follows recently retired Henry and Angela Preece as they try to accustom themselves to their empty nest. Henry, struggling to settle, takes on neigbbour Joanna Barley as a secretary. Their blossoming friendship, however, soon becomes an affair, and Henry finds his life taking a turn for the worse when his wife Angela disappears.
