The Ford River meanders through the quiet, rural town of Bridgetown, Ontario. Residents enjoy a peaceful, slow paced life, confident that their town is a safe and healthy place to bring up their families. Recovering from a kidney transplant, and trying to reconcile with his girlfriend Sarah, occupy most of environmentalist, Jack Giovanni's time. But when something goes terribly wrong in Bridgetown, the ever diligent Jack gets to work to find answers. With the help of his friends, Christine, Matt and Bernie, he uncovers a very serious environmental issue that could have dangerous, life threatening consequences. Will Sarah's involvement hinder Jack's efforts? What does the local chemical company have to do with the current situation? Is the government hiding the truth? Will Jack find out before it is too late?
