This superb debut book of poetry from John Deed asks a lot of questions and, hopefully, provides some answers with its thought proving takes on the human condition. Profound and existential, the collection is a personal journey of experience and observation in three sections:
First is the natural world, our place within it and the forces that shape our being and destiny. Second, is a powerful look at the mind and specifically those darker places within, which may resist the light. The third section explores the heart, that fiery melting pot of fidelity, justice and truth.
There are over 50 beautifully crafted poems in the collection that combine mindful insight with strong feeling, designed to help create a dialogue on some of the bigger issues we face as humans, including our external environment and internal mental well-being.
