Traditional Skipping Songs with Jessica & Grandma Elsie O'Neill

Jessica & Grandma have collaborated well during lockdown to produce this superb skipping book. There are 80 plus traditional rhymes to involve children and adults of all ages in exercise and physical activities at home, in the playground or for PE at school. It encourages pupils to learn the rhymes whilst performing physical activity either individually or in pairs/groups. The rhymes have great cross curricular links to history, English, geography and various cultural influences from not only the U. K but other countries around the world. The rhymes and exercises could be used either as a warm up/cool down or as part of a main lesson, too, in both primary and secondary schools. The You Tube channel with demonstrations is a fabulous added extra to support the teaching of the skipping steps and songs - a great idea. I will certainly be using it to teach my class of future Olympic winning skippers! A great warm-up prior to football and rugby for all ages. A brilliant resource for teachers, coaches and parents! OFSTED WILL LOVE SEEING IT IN ACTION!
