Death on the Strand
Henry Simpson
Joe Costa pays a long overdue visit to his parents in Coronado for some rest and to decide what to do with his troubled career. Promptly bored with sunny days, golfing, TV, and his parent's social circle, he accepts a temporary job as a bouncer to see if he can still handle the rough and tumble. He rents a beachfront apartment, takes up surfing, rekindles a love affair with an old girlfriend, and befriends a former Navy Seal who operates a pizza joint and smuggles psychedelics on the side. One thing leads to another and he soon finds himself negotiating a turf-sharing agreement with the Tijuana Drug Cartel and helping his old flame defend herself against a murder charge. What could possibly go wrong?
