A carefree time of muscle cars, drive-in movies, and cruising with your friends. Gas is still 30 cents a gallon. Vietnam is finally winding down. The world's troubles are happening somewhere else. Life is good, but change is brewing on the horizon. At seventeen, Darren Hunter is about to enter his senior year of high school. But, he's on the fast track to nowhere. His grades are failing. He's hanging with the wrong crowd. His future is uncertain. Someone or something needs to intervene before it's too late. Enter Frankie Radcliffe. She's the shy, socially ostracized daughter of a local dairy farmer. Polar opposites on the surface, Frankie's certainly the very last person Darren ever imagined he would become involved with. But unbeknownst to Darren, Frankie Radcliffe is about to become the catalyst that will forever alter the course of his life.
