THE BETRAYAL OF BLOODLINES is a young adult fantasy novel and book #3 in the (after)life lessons series. Jules Winklevoss and Chase Hastings's love-hate relationship may be coming to an end when he finally asks her out on a date. However, Jules is unsure if she should follow the butterflies in her stomach and date the arrogant troublemaker. They come from two different worlds. Chase is brought up by a prominent visumary family who can see and speak to the dead, and Jules lives with her adopted parents, who don't have the ability to see spirits. While Jules and her friends are back at school, the evil spirit Machiavelli has been stirring malcontent in the visumary community. Fear of retaliation means people are looking for a scapegoat and blaming the Winklevosses. Dead tyrants through out history are brought back to power. The difference between Jules and Chases becomes painfully obvious when Chase's descendants join the opposition to the Winklevosses and help the cruel rulers. Jules has never felt a strong connection to her biological family, but she knows being a Winklevoss twin is special, and she doesn't want history to repeat itself. Refusing to make compromises to soothe Chase's ego, Jules has to decide if she has the confidence to be her own person and lead a revolution against the crazy dictators.
