The main character is Andrew Williams, researcher, scientist, professor who is the engine of the entire process of defending the earth with his inventions and technological development. Dana MacGregor is the young university student from California, student of astrophysics who is a fundamental part of the work because of the importance of this beginning and which is part of the youthful identity of the North Americans. They participate in the plot their group of friends and colleagues from the university who interact through routine contacts, stellarly Bonnie Collins, her close friend, the president of the country Campbell, the secret service, the army and various actors of everyday social life in California, Wisconsin or San Francisco.
