The substance of these poems draws from the poets life in the first decade of the new millennium. This period of her life, in its evolution, was very significant to the transformation of her life. It was the most difficult time of her life, yet it enabled her to reach deep within herself, and rake up the courage to break chains. She ploughed through mud and debris persistently, even though there were times when she felt she would drown and perish. With deep gratitude, she attributes her direction and clarity, to her unwavering devotion to the essence of life
