The year is 1699 and Tom Hunt finds himself aboard the merchant ship, Sceptre, bound for the Indies. Passing through the channel between Mozambique and Madagascar, their vessel is hailed by another. Standing high up in the crow's nest, fourteen-year-old Tom watches helpless, as armed men pour over the rails. Forced to join their band, time passes and Tom takes over the ship as captain of that same pirate crew, hunting passing East Indiamen. Three hundred years on sees professional musician, Jethro Whitaker and girlfriend, Megan, on vacation at Frigate Dive Lodge in Mozambique. Their host introduce them to the idea of searching for a missing treasure, one that they are convinced an ancestor left clues to its location, buried along this stretch of coastline.with the help of friend, Dillan Duma, the couple struggle against others who want that same treasure for themselves. Not only does the search lead them across the border, but unravels a few other secrets that have remained buried over the centuries.
