The community of Ballard in Seattle is a unique place teeming with dozens of stores, eateries, bars and every other kind of business that express themselves with considerable style. Many books have been written about things to see and do in Ballard, but none like this one. Short Stories of Ballard is a collection of 22 fictional short stories - about 3,000 words or less - set in and around the businesses and places we walk by everyday. These stories, while totally fictional, weave real people into the plots - some may be your neighbors - and each one says something about who we are and what we think.
