But for all her life's fortunes, she is in a relationship she feels is a mismatch. One event leads to the other and the Masked Poet is invited to perform on her birthday cum reunion party with her boyfriend after the resolution of a friction in their relationship, just after she has been crowned the new Miss Nigeria. But despite knowing this, Delight is determined to make him crack that vow so he can be her lover as much as the poet he is. The Masked Poet hesitated and resisted, but Delight persisted and insisted until he fell. But it wasn't until they were married, that Delight discovered why the Masked Poet hesitated on love and was on a personal vow against love - he is a beast. In what way is the Masked Poet a beast?
