The citizens of the New Democracy live in what seems to be utopia. There is no more poverty, no more crime, and everyone lives healthy lives. However, this utopia has come with a price and a small group known as the Resistance have peacefully protested against the sacrifices that those born different have had to make. Lately, a new, more aggressive group has formed. No longer content to merely protest, the Draconis are determined to take action at any cost. During this conflict a child raised by the Resistance is taken by the New Democracy and placed in their schools in an attempt to educate her. But, Abigail's love for her parents and the lessons taught to her help her stay strong, and when she's sixteen and has a chance to join the Draconis, she jumps at it. Soon both Abigail and her two best friends must decide how they intend to fight in this small-scale war to bring back a truly free world.
