Frey
Raven Snow
Like everyone else in her world, 16-year-old Kiran Frey knows that a thousand years ago, Earth's population was forced to look to the stars for new homes to replace the planet they had destroyed. Frey has grown up believing her planet was one that was in the process of being colonized when the original settlers were cut off from Earth and its Space Program by a mysterious disaster known only as the Incident. Since then, a man known as the Chancellor has controlled their planet with an iron hand, insisting everything he does is to ensure the settlers' survival. To a girl raised by outlaws in the Western Territories, the Chancellor feels very distant - but when Frey finds herself in possession of a secret that could change the course of her world forever, the Chancellor and his Rangers, led by a lethal cyborg, become very real to her. Hunted by former friends and brand-new enemies, Frey stumbles upon Diego Marquez, a boy left for dead in the mountains. Together, Frey and Diego make their way north, as the world they have always known ticks down to its final battle.
