A Natural Proof for the Existence of God as Supernatural Ruud Schuurman

Do we really need yet another proof for the existence of God? Yes, because the other arguments cannot prove the existence of God as supernatural by natural means:
Natural arguments for the existence of God (i.e., cosmological, teleological, and ontological arguments) cannot prove the existence of God. They cannot because they cannot deal with what is supernatural while being supernatural is a necessary condition for being God.
Supernatural arguments can deal with God as supernatural, but they cannot prove God's existence by natural means. Instead, they rely on divine revelation. They take the fact that God revealed/reveals Himself (e.g., in scripture, in (testimony of) miracles and visions, in the existence of the creation, in the order in the cosmos, and so on) as proof of His existence. But, generally speaking, divine revelation is no longer considered to be a valid means of knowledge.
This new proof bridges the gap by proving the existence of God as supernatural by natural means. Thus, it bridges the gap between natural arguments (that proceed by natural means but cannot deal with God as supernatural, and are common in the philosophy of religion and natural theology), and supernatural arguments (that can deal with God as supernatural but not by natural means, and are common in theology at large).
The resulting proof is the most solid proof of God's existence because it does not derive God's existence from natural phenomena (e.g., the cosmos or its design) or from concepts of God (e.g., the greatest that can be conceived), nor from divine revelation, but directly from the fact that God is supernatural (i.e., that what is not supernatural, is not God). The latter is something even atheists (who believe that God does not exist), agnostics (who believe that we cannot know if God exists), and ignostics (who believe that the term 'God' is not sufficiently clear to discuss its existence) agree on.
In between the lines, the proof also reveals the beauty of a supernatural God: That only a supernatural God is truly infinite, supreme, greater-than-the-greatest. That only a supernatural God is truly perfect (i.e., complete and flawless). That only a supernatural God is truly simple (i.e., attributeless). That if we try to turn God into something more than just supernatural (i.e., if we try to add to the notion of God as supernatural), we turn God into something less, into just another natural thing, the worship of which is indeed idolatry.
I cannot but hope that this proof may help you to attain salvation, divine union, enlightenment, liberation, wisdom, or whatever you call that which sets you free. Free from sin (i.e., believing what is not true, separation) and the consequences of sin (i.e., suffering). Free from the stress that comes from being deceived by appearances.
