A team of technologically enhanced heroes known as Interceptors are holding tryouts to find their newest member, but becoming a hero is anything but simple. Along with his best friend Kieran, Rhys battles it out against hundreds of potential recruits in order to become not only the world's newest hero but also the new partner to the most advanced AI in existence, Ayla.

Everyone may dream of one day being a hero that the world can look up to, but Rhys has different goals. Being a hero is great, but getting revenge against the monster that murdered his parents would be even better. Luckily, Rhys's goal lines up with the goal of the Interceptors as the man who killed his parents also happens to be the team's greatest foe, a man known only as Zeal.
