The plague journal of a pair of 'harmless criminals' Part 1 - March to August 2020. The Lockdown Diaries describe what happened when two people decided to bend the Lockdown rules and occasionally leave the crowded parks and gardens of the city centre of Sheffield to walk in 'the blue and the green' of the empty countryside beyond the city boundary.

Illustrated with drawings and photographs, the diary is set in the context of local, national and international news, and the responses of the politicians and scientists. Statistics tracking the progress of the virus as it stalked across our country, and daily celebrations of the lives of individuals who died during this terrible time, provide a background to this celebration of the natural world through a Spring and Summer we will never forget.
