The two women meet in the emergency room in a hospital in Louisville, Kentucky and eventually find their way IN St. Petersburg, Florida.
From dumpster diving and getting caught up in the middle of riots in Louisville, to adopting lasting friends along the way, and 'going to the dogs' in Florida, they are intent on living life to the fullest on their own terms. The commotion never ends, and all Gracie can say about that is, "Well, tarnation!"
